Summary:
Wow! This trail network is so different from the variety closer to the NY metro area (Blue Mt, Ringwood, Sprain Ridge, etc.) In NY/NJ, it's all about clearing obstacles. Here, trails are fast and flowing. It's all about riding fast! While I like the places I mentioned, we really don't have an area like this, and I wish we did.

Recommended Route:
We tried them all. Some trails are perhaps too easy and flat, but as we got further from the parking lot, the challenges increased. Trails closest to the stream are perhaps most fun.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Jersey areas: Allamuchy, Ringwood, Lebanon

Summary:
Lots of riding to be done here. You can really move on some parts of these trails. Stay off the gravel unless you need a break or are looking for another trail. I try to ride the park once every week or two. Lots of rocks, roots, some decent turns. Its not the most difficult set up of trails but i've ridden everything and this suits me just fine. The trails are well kept and everything is clean.

Recommended Route:
Go to the environmental center on Jacobsburg road and get a green map off the road. The map lists the main trails- you have to find your own. All of the trails on the map are clearly marked in the park. There are other trails and little stints throughout the park that you have to find on your own. Go south past the envir. center and take a left over the concrete bridge and park there on the left. You can go into the system right accross the street and that parking lot is pretty much in the middle of the trail system.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Camelback, Glenpark, My house

Summary:
I rode this trail for the first time last summer and drive 30 minutes 2-3 times a week just to keep riding it. It really is a great setup of trails. But, you have to know where to look! Anyone who stays on the main gravel trails that is not a novice mountain biker will of course be disappointed. That same thing happens everywhere. Any experienced mountain biker knows you have to look for the "trail less travelled" for a good time. Having said that, let's move on...
As many reviewers have already said there is a great mix of everything out here. The single track out here though is not too incredibly technical probably intermediate or so. You never know what is around the next bend however and that is what makes it so much fun. Trail maintenance is excellent. No garbage laying around or bums sleeping in the bushes. Watch out for the horse droppings though, that is a sure fire way to develop bike handling skills out here. There are plenty of those. Overall a good time. But, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME STAY OFF THE GRAVEL TRAILS. EXPERIENCED RIDERS SHOULD KNOW BETTER!

Recommended Route:
Stay off the gravel! If you see any offshoots trails from the main gravel...take it! That is where the fun is!

Summary:
This is not an intermediate area. There are some sections where a small part of a climb or downhill is tough, but overall an easier type of ride. Mostly gravel covered trails. Fun to go with your significant other, or a new group of riders.
