Cross Country Rider Summary: So many options are available on "fire tower mtn", aka ives run area...
Best thing to do is park on main street and visit oswald cycle works, the only bike shop in town.
Oswald will give you instructions on where to ride.
Some of the best riding in the northern tier is to be had just north of mansfield...explore away, and don't forget to visit hills creek state park. Recommended Route: Park at the Bi Lo in Mansfield and take the bike way out to river road, turn left and head towards fire tower or hills creek. Other recommended trails in the same area: Asaph, Slate Run area, Lyman Run State Park, Arnot Trails

Ridden Trail: Every few months

Reviewed by: Ken C.
, from Tioga Summary: The route starts off with a long, sick, climb aprox 2.5 miles (1000ft vertical) that is not that steep, but unrelenting (you'd better be in top shape). It ends in a grassy clearing. Head right and look for the trail(blazes) to dive back into the woods. The ridge ride that follows is beatiful level single trak that ends with one diagnol 1/2 trak swithback that is steep and narrow. At the bottom replace brake pads and turn right on the dirt road for an easy 1 mile cruise back to the park starting point. Recommended Route: Start at the trail head just after the RV checkin booth there is a map there of the trail follow the blazes.
