Really rocky and lots of roots. Lots of fun, built for hikers but I ride it anyway.

Summary:
Just as descrived above by previous poster- very technical descent beware of fallen trees! Bent a spindle dropping off of one... then back up the fire trail. This is more of a hiking trail but it is still fun to ride definitely a single track.
Knobbies I would recommend... and some kind of suspension if possible b/c of the rocks. I will be going back...

Recommended Route:
I believe the reviewer above started from the same area which is actually named Holtwood park. Accessible from Rte 372 from Crystal Dr. to the stop sign and straight through.. plenty of parking. Trail head starts down through some pines... and is marked as Kelly's run trail if I remember correctly. There were maps available.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Fishing Creek preserve- very easy and nice area.

Reviewed by: Dan Nye , from Lancaster, PA, USA

Summary:
Very technical descent down to Kelly's Run, then a 1/2 mile ascent to a fire road. The rest is fairly easy. There is a lot of exploring to do and I rarely go the same route 2 times. I ride this trail about 2 times a week in the summer, It is fun and gets the legs in shape. The rocks are killer on your bike, I wish I had a XC/Full Susp. bike for this, it would be a big help. I broke my clipless pedals on this trail, broke one off (don't buy icon's) on the Kelly's run descent. The trail is fun, but a bit cramped, you're always wanting the fun parts to last longer, and the tough stuff to be shorter.

Recommended Route:
Start at ball field and head down the pinnacle/ kelly's run trail up to the pinnacle, take a rest, then head down the fire trail and back

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Susquehanna State park in Maryland. A spread out version of kelly's run, without the knee killing rocks.
