Weekend Warrior Summary: This place has great trails. Had the day off so figured I'd go check it out based on the reviews I had read. True to the reviews there is lots of really fast single track. Tons of fun. many props to whomever built/maintains these trails. Not the largest trail system I've rode but for being within minutes of a large city it is tuff to beat. Like the last reviewer I didn't find the dirt rag house. I did however come across a collapsed shed....sans hobos...dang

Weekend Warrior Summary: Tons of true singletrack, I probably rode about 25 miles and only retaced things by choice. There is a spectacular dragons tail switchback across from the mansion parking lot. I think i rode it about four times in the course of a four hour tour. Navigation is pretty easy due to landmarks and great trailblazes. It looks like there used to be some creative stunts and skinnies but they are in a state of disrepair. This could be due to park rules, i dont know im not a local. Either way the natural terrain and great trail layout make themost of your ride and the property. Where are the carpenters and the diggers? #$%@ i missed the dirt rag house and the bikes, i need a guide for next time. Recommended Route: From Erie, 79 south, wexford exit RT. 910 east, RTE 8 South, Harts Run Road East, follow signs to concert area. Other recommended trails in the same area: Morraine State Park, Kenerdell Tract(clear creek state park).

Weekend Warrior Summary: Best trails in Pittsburgh only a mile from my house! Not many rocks, lots of logs, technical turns, lots of bends in tight trees. Beautiful landscape, well kept, traffic is minimul, horses are a PITA, but hikers are cool. Well maintained by the rag people, help on occasion, love it! Recommended Route: Too many, best thing is the variety, must do the rollercoaster and the snake.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Hartwood Acres is the Best Trail I have ridden on. I'm 14 and I love hartwood. It has many log rides and log sets that are really easy and fun. Recommended Route: Start at Rollercoaster (The Trail By The Red White and Blue Statues) It loops back to the satues. Then continue up the road untill you get to the top of the big hill. Take a Right on to Double Creek And then a Left at the next intersection on Double Creek. You will end at a grassy feild by a bench on the side of the road. Rest at the bench eat a Gu The go up the road to the tope of the hill. Now that your going up the hill take another right onto Big Rock (It's across From Double Creek) You should find a pretty desent sized rock on top of a hill on which you can look down and see a gravel road. Do some downhilling on the side of the hill onto the gravel Road. Go the top of the gravel road untill you see a blue statue. There should be a trail by there called blue statue. After you come out of blue statue climb all the back up the road and go to the first trail you took Roller coaster. This time after the rollercoaster part take a sharp right onto a trail called home trail. Follow that trail untill you see a house with a peace sign and bikes in a tree (this is the house where Dirt Rag is Edited) Then you will be on Saxonburg Blvd. Go Right and go to B&Z's Deli. It's good there.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Hartwood has a pretty good system of trails set up. I was suprised how many trails there are. I don't know if it is all that tecnical but there are alot of logs laying down in the middle of some trails. Few rocks here and there but not that hard for an experienced rider. I would reccommend this trails for anyone. Dosent matter if they are beginner or expert. Recommended Route: Just start in the same place everyone else is talking about. Or you can go past the stage and somewhat up the hill past the new dog play ring and the first left you can make going up the hill. It links up with the major trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Boyce, North Park, Frick, Kennerdell
