Cross Country Rider Summary: The trails here are exceptional for being relatively unused on a regular basis compared to other areas like Wissahickon, Plateau, Iron hill etc etc. I feel that these trails will improve due to individuals and groups willing to do the work needed to keep them;
1.) maintained
2.) clean
3.) free of excessive overgrowth, ie stickers, hitch hikers etc etc.
The only issue I have is the Paint ball battallions that congregate there to practice war games. Hey, I know it's just a paint ball, but they leave trash all over the plae in the form of un exploded paint balls, product trash ( packaging) beer cans, food trash and cigars and cigarettes. This is a legitimate problem that is alarming, I rode through 2 paint ball wars this past Sunday, which surprised me due to the fact that I could hear the paint ball guns from the parking lot at K-Mart. This needs to be addressed. Other than that, THis (park?) has lots of potential to be a great riding destination for anyone willing to get dirty. Recommended Route: Enter from the trail head just across from the old K-Mart Parking lot.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This area has a lot going for it. Nice singletrack, stream crossings, challenging climbs and fast descents. It's never crowded, most rides I'm the only one there. I especially like it because I can ride here easily (from Havertown). Recommended Route: Try parking at Glendale park (across the bridge in Haverford Township). That way you can explore the trail that runs along Darby creek. If you head north, you can go all the way to the State Hospital property. Or you can head downstream all the way to State Road. To get to Don Guanella, cross the bridge, make a right at the light (onto Reed road), and enter the trails across from the Iron Shop. Other recommended trails in the same area: Belmont plateau, Morris park, Wissahickon.

, from DA HILL Summary: THESE TRAILS ARE FOR BEGINNERS AND US LOCALS WHO WANT GET A QUICK RIDE AFTER WORK. NICE AND EASY, AND VERY FAST LOOPS AROUND IT. USUALLY THE PLACE IS EMPTY, OTHER THAN THE TRASH THE KIDS LEFT THE DAY BEFORE. IF YOU HAVE TO DRIVE TO THIS TRAIL, DON'T GO. BETTER TO DRIVE TO A PLACE YOU DON'T HAVE TO RIDE THE SAME TRAILS TWICE.AS FOR ALL THE RIDERS WITH THE NEGATIVE ATTITUDES ABOUT OUR LOCAL GEM. STAY THE HELL AWAY. Recommended Route: PARK AT DREXELINE SHOPPING CENTER AND RIDE TRAIL NEXT TO MERIT GAS STATION. GO LEFT ON THE ROAD AFTER THE FENCE AND RIGHT AT THE LIGHT. FOLLOW THAT ROAD ABOUT 1/4 MILE AND ENTER ON THE LEFT. Other recommended trails in the same area: WISSY, AND IF YOU WANT, DRIVE TO THORP, IT'S THE MECCA!!!!!!!!!!
