From Scranton: Take Business Route 6 (off I-81, exit 57) north into Carbondale. Turn left onto Route 171 into Simpson. Just before the bridge, turn right on Reservoir St., then an immediate left. See trailhead sign. From Lackawanna Valley Industrial Highway (U.S. Route 6): Take Business Route 6 (exit 7) towards Carbondale. Take the first right onto Canaan St., then left at the intersection; go downhill to stop sign. Turn right. See trailhead sign. To northern sections of Trail from I-81 and Binghamton: Great Bend (exit 68) to Route 171 towards Susquehanna and Lanesboro. The D&H trail is under the Starrucca Viaduct at Lanesboro.
