Ridden Trail: Once a week

Weekend Warrior Summary: A nice 5-7.5 mile loop (depending how you ride it). As stated before, this trail dries out nicely. I rode it last weekend after 2 days solid days of rain. The trail was not muddy, but a bit slick in spots with wet fallen leaves on rocks. The only area that is muddy (and muddy is an understatement) is where you cross in and out of the Southwind construction area. Last weekend this area was nearly unrideable with deep wet clay, but this weekend it was fairly well dried up. The construction makes finding the route a little difficult at times as it changes almost weekly as construction moves forward. Once through the construction, the routes are very easy to follow. Recommended Route: I like to start at Lake Tahoe, following the red/blue/green markers through Southwind and into the singletrack area. You will do a short section then cross the 1st access road and back into the woods again. At the 2nd access road, the red/blue/green takes a left up the road, here is where I cross the road and enter the unmarked single track trail. This runs through the woods to a 3rd access road. Look to your right about 100 feet and another trail enters the woods. This trail comes out at the end of the airport runway. I loop around here and back into the trail I just came in on. I ride this back until until it connects with the red/blue/green course. It adds roughly 2 miles to the blue loop. Follow the blue/red loop until you finish the rock gardens. At this point you are at the top of the Tyrol ski slope/chair. Following the trail back toward the Wagner slope and Alpine Slide. At the slide. Finish with a loop or two around Lake Tahoe and you can log 7.5 to 8 miles. each ride around Lake Tahoe is 1/2 mile.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I rode thi trail for the first time this year and had a blast. The trail does not have a lot of long climbs but there are some very technical areas which make this trail very fun and challenging.
If you have never ridden rock gardens before this is the place to give it a try.
Another great thing about this trail is that it stays very dry even after a couple of days of rain. Recommended Route: Go to bike shop and get a map, follow the blue arrows

Cross Country Rider Summary: The blue trail or Jim Fry trail is one of the nicer trails at Seven Springs. Most of there trails have been beat up buy ATVs ,horse's and weekend hikers trash. This one is still worth while!Hit it up midweek and park in the villages at the to and work you way right into there rock garden. Recommended Route: Start from the rock garden and work up past the #3 chair lift and follow the red trail till it splits to the left stay with the blue trail and you will find a downhill with 3 or 4 rollers. The climb out is a well kept fire road. You will come to a T in the road.Make a right here and look for the blue trail makers. There will be one more right turn and your back in the single track. This part loops back up to the start. Other recommended trails in the same area: The red loop AKA Rosses Revenge.
