Racer Summary: This trail is great! Got a helpful tip from the local shop on how to get started and the ride was awesome! This trail has some long, long rock gardens, more like whole farms, but with a all mountain rig you're fine. Some really technical short sections make things very interesting, but overall it was fast although bumpy singletrack through and through. I had a Trek Liquid and my friend had a Bullit all rigged out and we were both happy we had the full suspension. Overall I didn't think the trail was overly technical just bony. A beginner would either get used to it or give up and there are plenty of two track crossings to escape the singletrack. Recommended Route: Get the free hiking map from the bike shop. Very good detail! Starts from the truck pull out on Route 93 just before the first parking area coming up the hill from Jim Thorpe. There is a big pile of dirt at on end and the trail starts just to the right. We parked at the parking area and rode to the pull off. Other recommended trails in the same area: ?

Cross Country Rider Summary: I rode the "American Standard" this weekend and it was awesome. There was a generous helping of rocks on much of the trail. There were also a ton of rock gardens that were tricky at times. We picked up a trail map at a local shop in the city of Jim Thorpe. The map was very acurate. The trail would have been difficult to follow without the map so I recommend acuiring a map before riding. Recommended Route: Acuire a trail map from one of the local bike shops in Jim Thorpe to help guide your ride. It shows you a route that creates an approximate 12-15 mile loop.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rode it today and I'm happy to say that this trail looks as good as ever!
It was dry and the trails were clear of any fallen trees. I didn't know what to expect with the Winter but its looking great! Recommended Route: Start at the beginning, finish at the end!

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rode it 5-29-05. Happy to report its looking good! Started at the second lot(furthest from JT) and rode it to the beginning of the muddy road. This direction is reverse of what most trailguides recommend. We had to bail at this point due to rain starting and my friends hand injury. We took a jeep trail back to the washboard road that goes to the highway. Anyhow the trail was totally rideable. We moved branches in a few spots and there are some places you have to go around downed tress but it works fine. Someone said there were some downed trees more towards the beginning, which is the part we missed. Anyhow I'm totally happy to get to ride this trail again!

Cross Country Rider Summary: I met up with a local JT guy Lee who claims this trail is now rideable as of 5/20/05. There was a lot of storm damage in the JT region in late '04 with many trees down across the trails. Anyhow this is one of the greatest trails around! Other recommended trails in the same area: Deer path, Uranium road
