Summary:
FAST- DH - & OPEN:..... Time Warp in 2013 is open to DH MTB'ers....... TW is Mnt Ashlands premiere DH - ST......... 'NOT' recommended for intermediate's like me but i am a masochist and besides who doesn't love to watch a good yard sale lol ...... Best leave TW to Xpert and full face - full armor Advanced riders........ Lots of >>> Big log overs -- rock gardens -- narrow ST -- fast strate shots - - &- down hill berm'ed switch backs, and FAST narrow flow on the lower section........... .........DANGER WILL ROBINSON: Guys like me who have done TW end up skidding down like a skinny farm plow making rut's....... Did TW twice and barley escaped with my life both times......... Sadly, not many 8" DH bikes gong down TW why > well > because there is a 2 mi fire road XC , then 1 mi steep up hill climb , then a short quarter mi ST - XC just to reach the trail head up on the west side of the ski slop ridge, then after You finish TW you end up on another longer XC and have to peddle for 25min on a flat just to get to the next ST- DH trial system so anyone on a Specialized Demo or Foes type bike is a STUD !!! ................ TW is very popular with the local Pro's and Xperts and Advanced adrenaline junkies ......PEACE

Recommended Route:
Take AMA = Ashland Mountain Adventures 15 passenger MTB shuttle va up to the nearest start point.......Ask ' Wild Bill' the owner of AMA and he may just take You on a guided tour of TW at 45+ mph ( see video link ) ........ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOnlfrK0WKk

Summary:
Let me start with my review of this trail. It's got it all in terms of excitement! Starts with a burly but short climb to access it, I believ this keeps the heaver rigs to a minimun as they generally need to hike it, I climb it on my SX trail. Then the fun begins, A fast swooping shoot through a rock garden of sorts to the meadow. The meadow is where nerve comes in play, the more you lay off the brakes the faster you go! I have 43mph on my gps in that section and believe me it's sketchy if you go fast! That sends you into the forest, where more swooping turns with opptional rock off's offer an exhilertaing thrill! Then the log off's, the many many log off's. Ranging in size from 1 footers to 3" there a blast... or atleast were. The larger 2 were cut out to make this trail leagal again, I will get to this later. From about the middle down the speed picks back up from tight twisties to longer traversing streights that lead to 2 awesome switchbacks that have recieved alot of work lately. The lower section is a lttle flater but swooping off camber corners keep you on your toes and some sweet little log off's again bring the fun factor back into play!
This trail can be riden by most experianced MTBers. I would not recomend it to any new comers as the length and difficulty of most the sections can lead to possible trouble due to the speeds that can be obtained, however my wife rides it often with caution.
As for it's leagal statis, after a colaboration of user groups, S.O.F.A., S.O.M.B.A., and A.W.T.A. this trail is again being recomissioned by the forest service. Proof that when people get together, share there concernes and come to an agrement, good things can happen!
Happy trails, this one is manditory, all the stars you will alot me on this one!

Recommended Route:
Pedal out to it from Ski Resort

Other recommended trails in the same area:
All the trails on Mt. Ashaland that are legal!

Summary:
dont blame john from bear creek for helping kids get a ride to the trails... its a fun and progressive activity that is healthy and good for you. Plus now all the logs laid down have dirt rollovers and little hips in front of them which make the trail more fun now, thanks john!

Summary:
Well no matter what other people say, until Bear Creek started the shuttle carrying up bus loads of people a day, the forest service was turning their heads, but due to the overflow of riders which caused the deterieration of the trail, and complaints from other trail users they finally shut it down. It used to be a secret trail until they exploited it, and sure, it's true, it's not all their fault, not enough of the "burly" DH'ers put in the time to repair the trail that they dragged their brakes down. I'm not saying that all people who used the shuttle dragged their brakes rather than finessing a line, but ALOT of people did. I guess the trail is pretty "sick" tho...it SURELY requires full face helmets, chest protectors, arm and leg armor and full on 50 lb down hill bikes with monster T's and 3 inch tires. It's SUCH a burly trail...even tho I know people who rode it on their 20" RIGID bmx. Common folks...save the downhill bikes and "knarlyness" for the resorts, not for the single track trails that everyone enjoys. Now the same thing is happening to marty's...show some skill and lay off the brakes ok? Marty's used to be smooth and now it's as rutted as Time Warp.

Recommended Route:
Be "hardcore" and "poach" time warp, since that's what all the "core" riders are doing. SIIIIICK BRA...

Other recommended trails in the same area:
toothpick is still smooth...but it requires actually pedaling UP, rather than costing down, so alot of the extreme riders around here tend not to do it.

Summary:
Damn i wish that this trail was still up and running. In my opinion it used to be the best on mount ashland. I do not blame Bear Creek for the trail getting shut down. They truly did do trail work and i believe they have fixed up bullgap. The thing that pisses me off is when riders make new routes down the mountain leading to erosion and the shutdown of great trails like timewarp. i think that is what has happened here. Bear Creek comes in because most of the people doing this were getting the shuttle ride from them. These foos who just wanted a little more thrill lead to the trail closure that ruined it for all. Sh**. That is not right
