Croisan Creek Trail

Average Rating:    (2 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 1

The Croisan creek trails consist of one main trail runnind down a sidehill towards croisan creek. There is also an upper trail connected to the lower main trail by three steep and fairly technical downhill singletracks. There is also a brief part on an eight foot wide cement path. The main trail contains one log ride with steps that is fairly technical. (WARNING: do not try the log ride when it is wet, its old wood that creates a slime with water and is impossible to grip with tires. Take from my experience of falling six feet into a creek-bed.) Two of the trails connecting the top trail to the bottom trail have dirt log jumps that i have built. Heading down the hill, When you leave the cement trail you immediately hit a junction, if you take a left you go to croisan creek road, if you take a right it connects you to the belcrest trails. See my review of the belcrest trails to find more out about them. Also look in the photo section for a map of the croisan creek and belcrest trail systems. I live really close to these trails and ride them a few days a week, so message me if you want to go for a ride.

Trail Directions
There are multiple entries to this trail system. 1. The main entrance is reached by getting on keubler and heading west. Take a right on croisan scenic (its after you pass skyline, but before you break over the hill). Take croisan scenic till it ends, park the car and continue biking past where the road ends. You will be on a dirt road for about fifteen feet, you will then see the entrance on your left. 2. The second entrance is reached by starting on keubler heading west. Take a right on liberty. Take a left on browning and stay on browning till it ends. The trail is at the end of the sidewalk on the left. 3. There is a third, smaller, entrance. It is at the end of cunningham, where it curves right. Park and head down the private drive, the trail entrance is on your right.

This trail has the feel of a hiking only trail. Other than being incredibly short, it seemed like the people maintaining it are trying to make it hard for bikers to ride on it.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Goto silver creek falls. its only about 30 minutes from salem and it has miles of great trails.
