It is mostly asphalt and is five mi. round trip , getting started is an easy straight away and goes along the hwy. stop at the bench and memorial, good view from up here, there is a dirt down hill short cut underneath some power lines and it is very steep and fast way down, if you stay on the asphalt you will see a water fall and riding signs clearly posted and directing you through the streets of Columbia City, come down 4th st.turn r-on L st. turn L-on 3rd. st. then turn L-at signal cross hwy 30 for the other leg of this trail which goes along hwy 30 all the way to shell beach on the river,so bring your sun tan oil and stop at the minute mart for ice creams and drinks

Summary:
The trail is pretty good. No complaints eccept for one and it has'nt to do with how good the trail is. It's the fact that the map displayed on this website shows a town in lower Michigan! What the beep? The trail described here is in Columbia city, Oregon. I know! I live next door in St.Helens.

Summary:
start at the dog pound, shoot straight to brown lows lake, all kinds of single tracks all around the lake, good wild life viewing too, then through some city streets, past city hall and the school, cross the high way and get on the path, lots of walkers and a mini-mart for all needs,go past yellow gate cross highway again and go underneath the railroad trestle to trestle beach, take the first left turn you see into a single track, real cool area to go exploring or looking for mushrooms, more trails like this one all along the hwy. and the river, lots of sand though and brush.

Recommended Route:
