It is mostly asphalt and is five mi. round trip , getting started is an easy straight away and goes along the hwy. stop at the bench and memorial, good view from up here, there is a dirt down hill short cut underneath some power lines and it is very steep and fast way down, if you stay on the asphalt you will see a water fall and riding signs clearly posted and directing you through the streets of Columbia City, come down 4th st.turn r-on L st. turn L-on 3rd. st. then turn L-at signal cross hwy 30 for the other leg of this trail which goes along hwy 30 all the way to shell beach on the river,so bring your sun tan oil and stop at the minute mart for ice creams and drinks
