Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail system is undergoing a huge upgrade (08/09), adding 20+ miles to the original 10 for 30+ total. Old road/doubletrack sections are being moved to single, and a new leg plus 10 connectors is making a great stacked loop system with many options and some fabulous views. 15 miles are done as of 11/08, five to go, signing will begin in the Spring...46 junctions. Close to town is "easy", beyond is "intermediate", and considerably more challenging aerobically and technically than the old trail. There are and will be more technical options, marked "expert". Used to be a 2 hour ride, can hardly see it all now in one day. For updates and a map go to sisterstrails.com. Recommended Route: Ten loops (stacked) and innumerable variants possible. Other recommended trails in the same area: McKenzie River, Phil's

Cross Country Rider Summary: The trail is surface is harder (less sandy) in late spring or after a rain making for a more enjoyable ride. Feels relatively fast both up and down. I ride this trail whenever my wife and I are in Sisters and I am still not sick of it. It is a fun refreshing ride that only takes about an hour or so depending on how long you spend at the top. Definitely not technical but a good ride with beautiful views of the Sisters, Jefferson, Washington, Three Finger Jack, Hood, and even Adams on a clear day.

Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a decent trail considering the terrain. We rode it recently (late July) as a nice easy connect from the bottom terminus of the more advanced Metolius-Windego trail (north section) to Sisters. If you get bored just ride faster. Recommended Route: uh.....out and back? Not really worth driving long distance to get to but if you happen to be in Sisters and want a quick easy ride, go 4 it. The best thing is it's closed to livestock. Other recommended trails in the same area: buy a map

Cross Country Rider Summary: This is a nice, fast trail. Awesome ride if you don't drive out of town or if you want something low-key(technically speaking) to crank out a fast ride.
Nice view of the mountains from the fireroads.
