Reviewed by: Anonymous Summary: There's only a couple things that keep this trail from being rated a 5: It's one-way and a little over grown in spots. Check out the photo at http://www.softwave.com/biking/GameLakeTrail.jpg

, from Starkville, MS, Oktibbeha Summary: The beginning of the single track can be missed. Watch for the ground marker. Stay in the eroded road until the arrow is seen. The next portion is rough, but short, and only expert bikers can do it all without pushing. Don't miss the left-hand turn near the bottom of this portion. Only some of the trail has been partially brushed, but the remainder of the trail is clear enough to follow and not too difficult. Total descent is about one mile with a drop in elevation of 3767 feet (GPS). The last portion is high over the river and beautiful! Unless you can swim with your bike in rapids, wait until July or August before fording. Skill level: Intermediate riders or better. You will be a long way from help on all but the last mile or two.
Recommended Route: Start at the trailhead which is about one mile from Game Lake. The trail does follow an old mining road for less than a mile. An arrow on the ground pointing to the right shows the single track. A rough half mile leads to a fork. Take the left and go to the river at the bottom. Other recommended trails in the same area: Pine Ridge Trail and Lower Rouge River Trail
