lots of tricks and fast single track with no level track...very sneaky, fast with little to no side to side clearance...Ride up it first then down...I guarentee that you wreck!
take Ashland Loop RD up past white rabbit trailhead...1/2 mile past youll get to toothpick. Very fast ride! youll get to a huge jump with no lip and about 100 yards past youll see a trail to your right. ride up this sucker without tapping, you can't. I almost ended up in the hospital riding down this trail.
Summary: Advanced single track with stunts and jumps. From bridge drops to good size doubles and some hang over the bike tire rocky decents, this can be fast and challenging, but can be taken slow. Not a trail for cross country bikes. Only one way to get to the trail head. Turn off of siskyou blvd. and head up Tolman creek road. about three miles up there is a small trailhead that can get you to the bottom of catwalk in about 0.2 miles. Other wise keep going up Tolman creek, the road turns into a dirt fire road, you can follow it up to Mt. Ashland. There is a fork in the road that allows you to either turn left and go through a gate or keep going to the right and end up at a well marked trail head for catwalk, with ample parking. You can walk/ride back up route 2060, but it is a steep part of the fire road.
Recommended Route: Stick to the right for most of the forks, otherwise you will end up on route 2060.
Other recommended trails in the same area: For a longer ride continue on through onto Toothpick then Catepilar (goes up just a little) then follow on to Alice in Wonderland by going mostly straight, toward the end follow to the left to end up on BTI. You end up at the top of Lithia park, where you can have another car waiting.

Summary: Trail is very do-able uphill and down, at fast speeds on the descent too...sorry to all the long travel locals who get mad if an XC geek can keep up on a descent...
Recommended Route: Ride up the Ashland loop road to white rabbit, then take rabbit hole through to the saddle, then up caterpillar to lamb saddle, then prceed to go down toothpick until you hit the jump (and slam into the tree about 15 feet in front of it if you don't pay attention) then go past the large tree and go to your right when you hit a trail fork. Ride up the trail without dabbing, and earn the right to come back down, watch out for downhillers
Other recommended trails in the same area: Anything you can find and ride. Trail isn't for rookies, but if you have a few epics behind you and feel confident in your ablilities, then go for it. I recommend the route mentioned above plus hitting Alice and BTI on the way back down the mountain.

Summary: Fun, fast, switch backs, not very steep, some fun tech. shit, blah biddy blah blah, basicly its the near very bottom of a ride you start at TIME WARP (the best trail in ashland) and its a fun little connector piece, nuff said
Recommended Route: Im not local enough to tell anyone how to get there
Other recommended trails in the same area: TIME WARP, the mother of all trails (for any dicipline of rider, espicially the gravitationally gifted)

Summary: Well, this trail is getting better since the peace corps or someone did work on it. There are now a few jumps if you know where to find them, but nothing huge. If you're wondering, the Pepsi jump sucks! No offense to Dan, Morgan, Mike, or anyone else who thinks it's huge ar assisted in the building of it.This trail is also just called 4 corners trail by some.
Recommended Route: See other's above
Other recommended trails in the same area: Time warp...the best! Better than cat walk by a long shot...
