Summary:
My girlfriend and I choose the 20 mile loop; starting with an 11.5 mile spin up FR 19, 1910 and 1911. The roads are in unbelievable shape and though they all point up, we found them to be fast and smooth, making an enjoyable climb. The actual trail starts with a bit more uphill then points downward and covers varied terrain with tight switchbacks, smooth straights and flowy curves and alot of tight singletrack of steep sidehills. The trail is buffed and hard, challenging you to keep it under control.

Recommended Route:
To shuttle or to not? We choose to pedal and found the climb to be well worth it and very rewarding. If you do shuttle be mindful of those riding up.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Have rode the Middle fork of the Willamette, which was good but very different.

Summary:
Uphill Sucked. It was a long, boring climb, but we made it. Once on the trail it was a blast. It was along a cliff for quite a bit of the trail and gives not much room for error. I wrecked twice, not because I suck, but because I was going balls to the walls and was going to fast. Luckily I wrecked in places where the cliff was protected by some shrubs. The trail is really sweet with mostly smooth single track, lots of switchbacks, a few rock gardens, a few 2' drops, some tight weave sections, and some smooth jumps. All of the jumps up there were smooth with great landings, so if you ride this trail, hit every one you see.

Recommended Route:
From Oakridge going toward Eugene, take the next right after the airport road. Drive through a little town, and there will be a single lane, red, covered bridge. Go across it and park. Ride toward the gate, go through it and follow the road till the trail goes off to the right after you go under the train tracks. There is a lot of brush, but this trail is super fun. Ride this trail for a while (2mi?) and then you will run into a road. Take this fire road (1910) up about 7-8 miles. There will be a fork that goes to the left at about 5 miles, don't take it. The second fork go left on (1911) Follow this for about a mile, or less. The trail is on the left and heads up into the trees. Once you are on the trail you want to make sure you stay left on the first split, go accross all the roads(don't turn on them) and then there will be a sharp left at the bottom(3/4) down where the trail either switchbacks or goes strait. Take the switchback and ride along the sidehill. Go through the gate and follow that road back to your car.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Goodman Trail(medium), Hardesty Mountain Trail(hard), Larison Rock(medium), Larison Creek(medium), Salmon Creek(easy), Ridgeline(easy)
