The Mission

Once you enter the Mission, follow the access trail in. You will come to a wide trail, this is the main line trail. From there you can hit First Time, Ranier, Lollipop, Tripple Creek, Roller Coaster, Don's Drop, Log Ride, and many others. All trails connect to the main line trail in some way. Basically, there is a maze of trails once you enter the trees, most easy to ride with some good advanced obstacles.
These trails are being built by the local club and are not well known but certainly worth a couple of hours of fun. We go in a group and everyone just rides around and you meet up at trail crossings. It's a great place to just jam around but watch out for the elk and dear.
ALL TRAIL OBSTACLES ARE INTENTIONAL SO DO NOT MODIFY OR REMOVE ANY THING, PACK OUT THE GARBAGE YOU PACK IN.
Highway 47 goes through Vernonia, at the north end of town there is a green bridge. If you are traveling north then turn right at the end of the green bridge onto pebble creek road. There is a green building on the right that is a chinese restaurant (quite tasty) you can use as a land mark. Travel approximately 1.5 miles up Pebble Creek Road. there will be a clear cut (don't worry, they replant) on the left and there is a turn out for roadside parking on the edge of the clear cut. the trail starts about 100 yards further up the road on the left. there is only one entrance and it is not real obvious, just a trail into the trees.
Summary: These trails definetly are not worth the drive and time required to find them. Most of the trails are dead ends and the jumps are about as exciting as hopping off a curb. There was some overgrowth which I didn't bother removing because the trails blocked were not worth riding. It is flat with almost no elevation change except for a few dips - the area really doesn't even have much potential.
Recommended Route: Stay at home.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Gales Creek, Browns Camp, Scappose trails off Rocky Ridge Road, Hagg Lake.

Summary: This is a really great skills-building ride. Yes it is short but it is alot of fun. Went up there and met the guys that have built the trails, they show a friend and I around were great about showing all the sweet little spots to try out. There are some fun stunts to test your confidence and skills on. A great hour or so of fun.

Summary: its ok but ive been on MUCH better, its kinda boreing, I drove all the way from hillsboro(portland area) and it wassent worth the gas. this would be better for somebody who lives in the area.
dont comute out to it, unless you reallyreally want to ride around in slime, and jump off little somwhat cheassy jumps
Recommended Route: park at the wide spot, the trail just is kinda hidden and un marked, but in side, the best is rolorcoster

Summary: Nice try, but the trails are more suited to 12 year olds on their 50cc motorbikes. Needs more technical North Shore style obstacles and less emphasis on actuall trails. There just isn't enough room any sort of riding other than a quick sprint up to a tree, around it and back. It was kind of fun if you're already in the area, but not worth the drive from Portland. Plus I felt a little sketched out parking my car out on that road all by itself. There were some shady hillbilles walking into the same woods as I while going in. Missing teeth and all, no joke. Try finding some steeper hills to build on in the area. That must be all private tree farm land, if you got permission to build there, I'm sure you could elsewhere that's more suitable.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Larch Mtn. above Multnomah Falls for Portlanders. It's closer, way faster, steeper, and technical.

It is just getting going but there are some good pics of the trails. Some of the info has nothing to do with us so if it doesn't seem like MTB stuff ignore it!
