, from Springfield, Or Summary: My only complaint about this place is that its to short! I could have spent all day on this trail. The trail is smooth with enough to downhill to be fun and enough uphill to get a moderate workout. Not much here on the technical side. However, it is a very peaceful place and i highly recomend checking it out. Recommended Route: for a easier ride make the loop in a clockwise dirrection...for a workout make the loop counter clockwise. Keep an eye out for the spur trail that leads back down to the parking lot its easy to miss. Other recommended trails in the same area: Im not aware of any other trails in this area.

Cross Country Rider Summary: As a beginner, and being my first trail riding experience,(thanks Greg!) this trail is actually very nice. It seems like a rollercoaster ride. The first 3/4 of a mile is mostly uphill but once you get past that, it is nice. Since the trail rides past some campgrounds and Siltcoos Lake, a light picnic would be nice. I recommend this trail for the beginner and like Tim, the owner of bicycles 101 said, for the more hardcore, do laps......take the right fork instead of the left and you will have a great aerobic experience! Have a great ride and don't forget the water! Other recommended trails in the same area: cape perpetua trail
