Cross Country Rider Summary: fun little trail with a couple options. mainly x\c with the a couple short sprint hills. nice older growth scenery with river views and crossings. When I did it seemed to be alot more runners with dogs and people just hangin out in the park, so you gotta watch your speed. Recommended Route: shelvin loop I liked it clockwise and really smoke the come back side. Other recommended trails in the same area: phil's

Weekend Warrior Summary: Nice scenery but lots of people and dogs.
The park is a good jumping off point for a large complex of trails southwest of the park in the national forest. Recommended Route: Take the trail that starts on the east side of Tumalo creek. Stick to the high ground until you break out onto a log road. From there a left turn will bring you into skyline road where there are numerous trails. Turn right and you will wind up on the trail head that goes back into the park on the west side, that is also where you can pick up the Mrzack trail. A map would be a great help in this area. You can download a great one here:

For some reason this map is not available from the forest service Other recommended trails in the same area: mrzack for xc

, from Bend Summary: you need to be experienced and be able to control the bike if you don't you could fall off the trail into a cliff to the right side of the beggining of it. Climb the cliff near the end to experience a good ride up and a fast ride back down. Recommended Route: Start at the top of the trail by shevlin Park Commens and take the trail from there to the Parking lot at the bottom Other recommended trails in the same area: poop
