Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

Racer Summary: This is one of the better trails I've ridden since moving here from Moab. Nice twisty single track through the forest with only one moderate climb. This is a loop trail, about 5 miles. Start from Mt Hood Ski bowl East. Pick up a trail map at the resort and follow the signs. The best way to ride it is counter-clockwise. It starts with a short climb over the saddle out of the ski area, then about 4 miles of twisting, descending single track, through a beautiful forest. It ends with a half mile steep rocky climbing on Power line trail which takes you back to Hood Ski bowl. The only problem with this trail is it's way to short. The whole loop takes about 20 minutes if you can middle - ring the climb.

, from Portland, OR Summary: This is a new trail opened by the Clackamas county rec.I have ridden this trail once, but have ridden ski bowl many times. This trail is tight and twisty, too much fun. get a map of the trial head from the ski bowl office. This trail offers everything from rocky climbs to switchbacks to invigorating downhills. Have your brakes in great working condition as you will need them often. Other recommended trails in the same area: rodedendron II
