, from Salem Summary: there is a pretty fun loop that my friends and I made where you start at the top of the hill in the back of the cemetery, and go down a really steep decent and then you go down the hill across the creek and to the right. you will come to a large stump and then you walk up the hill a little ways to the left and then go right. go a little ways and to the left around the corner you can see foot prints on the left. follow those for a little bit then you can ride. the trail is kind of hard to see right now cause this part of it hasn't been ridin alot yet. the trail goes down hill and then you come back to the main trail so just go straight across it and you will come to a fun tech trail and then it comes out to a trail called sleepy hollow and go straight across it and it is a short little loop part that goes back to sleepy hollow and just go up the trail. when you get to the top you will come out to the main trail. you can go left or right. if you go left then you will come to the tech trail on the left but if you keep going then you will come to the stump again. if you go right from sleepy hollow you will come out on the road and if you go straight you will come to more trails at the end. on the left there is a wide grassy road that goes up to browning. just before the grassy road on the left there is a steep little decent that i went down. it is not a steep as the first hill behind belcrest. i do that one to. Recommended Route: stay on the main trail, but my friends and i have made three new trails and there are more to come. they are all off the main trail but you just have to look for them. They are on the north side of the paved road that is there for no reason. Other recommended trails in the same area: If you live in the salem area, there is a petition at Santiam bike shop for some land to build trails on. so if you sign it, the better chance we have to get some new mtb trails going.
