Weekend Warrior Summary: Rode this trail today(7/22/06) and it has a lot of downed trees from the 2000 ice storm, it's also quite grown up with weeds, small trees, etc. The trail disappears in some sections. If your in the area ride the Lakeview Lodge Trail (about five miles away) or drive to Talimena. Recommended Route: Steering clear of many downed trees. Other recommended trails in the same area: Lakeview Lodge trail and Talimena area

Weekend Warrior Summary: Technical trail. The only one in the area I think. Single track, out and back. Somewhat rocky, typical of Ouachita Mountains trails. Almost constant elevation change. Some trail blocks still (2/05) on South end due to ice storm a while back. Great view of Broken Bow lake. Would be a great trail if someone would maintain it frequently. Still good for me though. Recommended Route: Start at spillway on Broken Bow dam. Other recommended trails in the same area: Old Military Road, Winding Stair on Talimena scenic drive.

Cross Country Rider Summary: This appears to be a fun and challenging trail. Unfortunately, there was so much downfall when I was there that I gave up after a mile. Once cleared, the trail should be awesome. Lots of elevation change through a beautiful forest. Recommended Route: This is an out and back. Begin at the parking lot just west of the spillway. Other recommended trails in the same area: This is the only bike trail in the park, but there are logging roads in the area if you purchase a permit.
