Cross Country Rider Summary: OEF does a real good job keeping this trail rideable. I give it a 4 for techical because of the rooty ups and downs with switch-backs. I am used to steeper climbs, so I never change gears. If you are a beginner, do this trail, just ride it slower. I spooked a hiker last weekend, but she will survive. If you experienced, blast through it 3 times. I lost count of how many bridges in the first 3 minutes of the ride. 5 I think. Cheers Other recommended trails in the same area: Nu Draper

Weekend Warrior Summary: this is my first trail riding since i was like 10 (seven years) i had a blast. One true wipeout getting caught in a downhill rut. Otherwise very challenging, with the stumps and switchbacks with tight trees to slalom through. what a great trail Recommended Route: same one everyone takes

Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is what it is and, for me, what it is is fun. I guess whether or not you would consider it "technical" depends on what level you're riding at. If ride this more than a couple of times and still have to walk at all or even put your foot down, I'd say you're a beginner. For a beginner, there are a few roots on a few short, steep climbs that might cause problems. It also has a lot of tight turns - some between trees that don't leave much room. Bottom line is to just ride it and have fun. If you're a beginner, you'll improve your skills here. If you're a sport or expert rider and you live in NW OKC, it's the only thing within a very short drive that will get you a fix of mountain biking until you get to Colorado next (I live about 5 minutes away). On the weekends, I sometimes ride other trails, but for zipping to after work, can't beat it. As to whether or not you can get an aerobic workout on it, I guess that depends on how hard you ride and how many laps you take. 3-5 laps should get your heartrate up. I give this a top rating based on its location and the fact that the Oklahoma Earthbike Fellowship does such a good job maintaining it. Recommended Route: It's on the North side of Lake Hefner just off of Hefner Road. Other recommended trails in the same area: NuDraper, Roman Nose

Cross Country Rider Summary: simple and fun. Very clean trail, good for inexp riders. @ 1/2 hr long, 3 or 4 laps makes for a good warm-up for a day of trail riding on a decent trail elsewhere. OEF maintainted, they state "it's not for beginners"??? I beg to differ, a few roots and one "1" very simple drop thats it. I think it should be specifically for beginners (my opinion). I give it a 2/3 for I think it's it leaves you wanting. Recommended Route: I-44 (Hefner Parkway) to Hefner rd, west on Hefner rd to Meridian turn right park an trail on immediate left
