Arcadia Lake Mtn Bike Trail

Nothing difficult here. If ridden hard, one can get a very good aerobic workout. All singletrack with some good semi-tight tree sections and some hills. A good beginner trail. This is not a loop.

Summary:
I did not like this trail. This is not even a beginners trail. It was WAY too sandy, so there was almost no speed through the corners.

This trail is amazinglly WEAK, i swore to myself i'd never go out there again but it way close to me. If you hall balls you'll get a very sandy workout but watchout for old rusted wire in the middle of the trail to get tangled in...i got pissed and had more fun waling around in the woods to find big ass tree trunks to drag into the middle of the trail to add some excitement...i will continue this war with the trail..MsgtfrontdiscbrakeisWEAK

Summary:
Not too sandy after a rain. This trail isn't really technical at all. Just an out and back. Lots of stickers and things to puncture tires here too. For somebody like me who likes more climbing and technical stuff, I think this trail is pretty dull. But it would be an excellent place to bring somebody new to mountain biking. You also have to pay to ride this trail. I think the city of Edmond maintains it. They don't do nearly as nice of a job as the OEF does and all their trails are free to ride.

Recommended Route:
Start at main office

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Bluff Creek, NuDraper (post road), Clear Bay, Roman Nose, Turkey Mtn.

Summary:
This trail takes a lot of unwarranted abuse in the reviews. While most of what the critics have written IS true, lest it not be forgotten that beginners need a place to begin. Consider this trail the Double-A ball of MTB'ing. (Single A being riding dirt roads, no singletrack....triple A being Bluff Creek, the Ouchita Trail and other technical stuff...and the Majors being places like Durango or Moab, etc.).

Recommended Route:
From the project office, of course

Summary:
BOARING! This trail is sandy, flat, and it costs money to ride on. It is also contaminated with walkers and bikers going the oppisite direction. I wouldn't mind paying to ride a trail if it was really good, but don't waste your money and go ride a free trail, it will probably be better.

Recommended Route:
I recommend detouring from the entrance to this trail and going to find a good MTB trail.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Bluff Creek, NuDraper
