Weekend Warrior Summary: Road this trail mid-October after work and enjoyed it. I agree with the other reviews that it is nothing special, but it is what it is. It's a good place to go if you are short on time and want a nice workout. I did three laps in 45 minutes, with leaf cover. Alot of ups and downs, but nothing too sustained. Very much like a roller coaster, lots of fun when you are short on time. Recommended Route: Only one way. Other recommended trails in the same area: Mohican.

Cross Country Rider Summary: I ride this trail a lot because it's close. It's the trail I learned to ride on so it's got a special place in my heart. There are some extremely fast sections and a few spots to get air. I've crashed pretty badly here a few times. There are no good spots to land. Watch out for hikers and nature center youth group walks, not to mention the occasional pile of dog feces. Recommended Route: circular Other recommended trails in the same area: vulture's knob, mohican

Cross Country Rider Summary: Be ready to go right out of the chute. Just yards after the intermediate loop starts, you'll hit a rock garden that's like riding down stairs. Then you'll find a gradual climb that yanks sharply up at the top -- better shift before you hit it!
Then you're on the roller coaster.
Yeah, it's short -- I've done the whole intermediate loop, including the backside fire road, in 12:17, and I don't have great skills. I'm sure a skilled and fit racer could do it in 10:00. But hey, there aren't a ton of other 12-minute stretches of singletrack around here that are a lot more fun than this one. And there are some seriously high penalties for failure, too.
If you're in training: Do some laps to work up a sweat. Then do some fast hill repeats on the 0.8-mile, 5-6% climb on paved trail from the towpath to E. 49th. Then another loop or 2 on the dirt. You'll get a hell of a workout. Other recommended trails in the same area: Doan Brook (called Cleveland Heights Ravine on here); Huffman/Reagan Park in Medina; West Branch.
And Mohican, of course, but it's 2 hrs. away.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Sure it's short, but a roller coaster ride. The problem is the douchebags at the Metroparks; they only gave us this much land to work with and Camba has done a superb job with what it was allocated. Do multiple laps, time yourself to see if you can clock in under 10 mins a loop.. it's all we have for the foreseeable future. Recommended Route: There's only one Other recommended trails in the same area: The Knob, MSP, W branch, Reagan Park

Cross Country Rider Summary: I ride this trail a lot just because it's so close to home. It's short, simple, and fast. No technical challenges unless you're on skinny tires or right after a rain when it gets real slick. Highly recommended for a quick after work ride, but not worth a special trip. Recommended Route: Only 1 route. Ride fast.
