Trail is comprised of 2 loops each approx. 4 miles in length. Both trails can be ridden either direction and also shared by quite a few hikers, walkers and runners so heads up on these trails.

The trail that starts at the Tall Pines trailhead parking lot is trail A. This is a 3.9 loop that is 98% singletrack with a bit of dirt access roads and a touch of pavement. Trail is primarily just short up and downs and a few dips to ride through. Some roots and a bit of rocks placed in the ground to prevent erosion in most places on this trail.

The other trail is our newest trail just completed in time for the June 1st 2012 grand opening and this is called trail B. This is a 4.2 mile trail and is very technical due to the amount of rocks in the trail and with some sections being a bit off-camber. This trail is designed in a lollypop setup with a stem that begins between the 1.8 and 2.0 mile markers on the A trail and the stem itself is 0.4 miles in length before the trail splits for the loop which we have termed upper and lower.

Both upper and lower have very distinct personalities to say the least. Lower is the rocky sections with a rock garden that goes on and off for about a mile. This lower section also features some unique flora for this area so it is worth seeing before it all dies out in late summer. Upper is more in the meadows and some nice woods and is a bit more flowy and far less rock.

These trails due close for inclement conditions with signs and gates that close off all access to the trails. Please check the Mitchell Memorial Forest Mountain Bike trail facebook page for trail openings and closures.

Summary:
Best trail system from Dayton down to Northern Kentucky. A is not as technical as B, and the most technical section on B is between about 3.2 and 4 miles. Very fun, great flow, nothing to steep to climb but nice long up hill sections to work the legs. Best all around local trail system.

Recommended Route:
Start with A, then hit upper B, brings you through lower B then back to A and finish.

Summary:
We try to make it better all the time so we constantly tweak it. Overall trail B has received great reviews from every rider I have talked too.

Recommended Route:
Go out A either way to B then ride B lower since the rocks setup better and once you get on the upper section which starts around 2.8 mile marker going from 4.2 mile markers it starts to really get flowy.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Harbin Park, Devou, EI, VSP, East Fork, Hueston Woods
