Elmwood Park Cabin

Average Rating:    (2.5 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 2

It's mostly a big circular race track type trail with littl offshoots that lead to nowhere. The whole thing isn't very long. It's just a fun little thing to practice gear switching on if you're a beginner. Also a place for friendly competition between friends due to the trails race track qualities. There's also some dirt jumps that people built.

Summary:
WTF? I grew up in this park throwing rocks at the trains and exploring the tunnels that go under lake road and all the way to the lake. Who knew it would end up being a rated mountain bike trail!!

Anyway, hardly worth any dive, just ride there if you live on the west side. We once build a skate ramp in the woods to only have the city trash it with a backhoe; I later worked for the city and found the a-hole who operated the backhoe, he said he enjoyed trashing it.

Don't even try to buid jumps in Elmwood, we did 15 yers ago in fifth grade and got yelled at by an old man who threw sticks at us.

I recommend hiding your bike and exploring Twin Tunnels near the waste water treatment plant.

Recommended Route:
Start by the baseball fields or drop in the creek along the road.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Center Ridge Business out and back. Ride behind all of the businesses hitting some embankments and curb jumps.

Summary:
Well, I can see that I’m the first one to review this trail. I’m sure allot of you will disagree with me for giving this on a 4, And the reason I’m giving it a 4 is because of 5 reasons.

1.It’s close to home, if you live in Rocky River, West Lake, Bay Village or even Lakewood it not that far. You can go there and get home in time to do what you need to get done.

2. It’s an easy fun and fast flowing trail. Easy being the key word, you won’t need to wear your self out. Oh, and there are some cool gaps that have been made by people that ride there!

3. It’s CLEAN!!! Most city parks are kind of rutty and have glass and garbage everywhere, nope! Not this one!

4. There are rest room and vending machines! I know, that’s no big deal but they come in handy wail I was there!

5. It’s great for people, like my self who have not been riding all that long, to go and learn to ride and sharpen their skills.

So that is why I’m giving it a 4, it’s a nice afternoon in the park for a beginner like myself!

Recommended Route:
Just ride all over, it kind of like 3 big loop (well, small loops)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Rays MTB, West Branch, Downtown (street riding at night)
