Due to open September 15, 2007. This facility features the area’s first fully sustainable trail system designed to IMBA standards, specifically for mountain bike use. The area features great terrain and natural assets, including beautiful hardwoods, a rock-bottom creek, great hills and rock-filled ridge. The trail consists of over 8 miles of trail for the most advanced to the novice rider. Volunteers have set over 20 tons of rock and built over 800 feet of bridges and boardwalks.
The trail itself consists of five loops of trails: Yellow Brick Road (beginner; no obstacles, slight/gradual climbs), Blue/Gold/Green loops (intermediate; some climbing, with slightly more undulating terrain), and Hawk's Lair (advanced; rocky, twisty, 100+ feet of climbing). All trails are accessible from the field behind the farmhouse off of Union Road.
THE TRAIL IS CLOSED until the grand opening ceremony on September 15, 2007. Please don't ride on the trail until then as you may damage some of the bridges that are still under construction. See you on the 15th during the grand opening ceremony!
Summary: This is a nice trail system. Makes good use of the terrain and has a little bit of everything to challenge most riders. I would definitely ride this trail again. Lots of rolling terrain smooth hardpack with no sand. Slower going due to the twisty nature. Trail is two way so 'head's up'
Recommended Route: I rode Creekside to Upper Stealth to Hawk's Lair (go right or CCW) back via Voodoo to Mr Zig Zag then Twisted and out via the rest of Creekside. That was about a 7.6 mile ride. Missed Lower Stealth and some of Creekside.
Other recommended trails in the same area: I rode John Bryan and Alum Creek P1 the same day. Both really nice trails

Summary: This is the only trail I've ever road on, but it seems challenging enough to a beginner and/or intermediate level rider. Lots of acending and decending switchbacks along with nice creekcrossings and bridges. whiped out a few times since riding it, but getting better. Well maintained and a good workout.

Summary: pretty decent trail. nice work was put into it. good if your wanting an easy ride and your in the area. the flagstone beds and the bridges are pretty cool. a little to stop and go design. very toght. not much wide open flowing sections. wish there were more rocks and rough spots but then again, im used to riding in arkanasas and the terrain is very different. hawks lair is alright. all around a good ride. nothing very exciting but it keeps the pedals turning. as long as im in the woods n a bike im happy. only one thing. all the different trails crisscrossing and intersecting is not very cool at all. it got real boring haveing to stop every so often to figure out which way to go. point A to point B, single loop trails, are the way to go. especially if your not a local. BUT......you guys did a great job. keep it up and good luck with mtbiking in OH!!!!
Recommended Route: JUST RIDE
Other recommended trails in the same area: havent ridden any yet

Summary: Great new trails just north of Dayton, OH. Rode these for the first time today. The single track is very smooth and very fast in places. The advanced trail called 'hawks lair' has a pretty challenging rock garden in the beginning, pretty twisting, a lot of switchbacks and very fast at the end. The trail named 'twisted' is just that! I was still able to generate a lot of speed though. There are some well constructed bridges throughout the trails. The trail named 'Creekside' is more of a warm up trail nothing too challenging, no real climbs. Overall a great place to ride. Awesome job to those that constructed these trails. Now for what I didn't like. There are virtually no signs to indicate where this place is until you are infront of it. The trails themselves are not located at the Huffman Park location as indicated on their website. You have to go past the park on Lower Valley Pk, swing back under Rt.4 and you will see a sign to park your car in somebody's farm. Another disadvantage is these trails are BI-DIRECTIONAL! Watch out for riders coming towards you. It is single track so someone has to move out of the way. These trails have to be wider to run bi-directional.
Recommended Route: any route is good, just keep your head up and watch for riders coming your way.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Caesar's Creek - if you would like a little road trip, Tower Park and Idlewild both in Northern Kentucky. Both trails are reviewed here as well.
