The trails are well-established hiking trails that have been just recently opened to bicyclists. Trails are mix of fire roads, single track and some road riding.

Summary:
Excellent trail close to Cleveland. Nothing super tough, just lots of twisty, fairly flat riding with more log stunts being added regularly. A few short steep drops and climbs- just enough to keep it interesting, plus the last section has lots of roots to make it challenging. Awesome new bridge at old creek crossing after steep drop. Definitely worth the trip from Cleveland.

Recommended Route:
Mountain bike parking area is left from park entrance. Enter trail on left past gate. Follow clockwise. Do the stunts- there's nothing dangerous.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Medina- Reagan/ Huffman is only 1/2 hour away.

Summary:
This is a gem of a trail for north central Ohio. The trail builders did a great job with what they had to work with. Fun small ups and downs, with tight twisty single track. Trail also has some fun log rollovers, and other wooden stunts built to make flat sections more interesting. Lots of roots to keep you honest. If you are in this area I highly suggest stopping by. My hat is off to the trail builders, thanks.

Recommended Route:
just one loop, take it and go!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
vultures knob.

Summary:
I had ridden this several times about 2 yrs. ago. It was about 7 mi.
Today I rode it - starting at a speed that I thought was good for 7 mi. At mile 7 I kinda pooped out and the trail kept going. It requires constant attention from the rider if you are trying to carry some speed. Mostly flat, LOTS of tight turns, roots, logs, but plenty of space to open it up and fly through the forest (try not to get ahead of yourself). Things happen fast: quick turns, quick climbs, brake hard, pedal hard - lots of fun. btw - I knocked my bars on about 5 or 6 trees - they are close! Only stopped once, though. I suppose speed should be somewhat controlled - not a lot of blind corners, but shared trail nonetheless. It has been greatly improved in that the amount of dirt under wheel is about 99%. The roads have been cut out - it's all singletrack! Other nice features are log stunts to test your balance - all with a bypass (if I recall correctly), and trail features that test and improve your bike handling skills. Some thought definitely went into it. Nice job! Lots of work in that trail.
I give it a 3 on an absolute scale of trails. I would give it a 5 if it was on a mountain.

Recommended Route:
Follow signs and tiny red reflectors - sometimes you have to look around for them - clockwise around the lake. Nice area to camp, fish, canoe, swim, hike, XC ski.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Reagan Park - Medina (very similar terrain)
Vulture's Knob - Wooster
West Branch SP - Ravenna
Ohio & Erie Canal Metropark adjacent to the Cuyahoga Valley towpath in Cleveland near E. 49th St.
Ray's Indoor MTB Park - Cleveland

Summary:
I ride this as ofter as I can, mostly because it's so close to my home. But that's not to say it's the only reason I ride so often. Mostly I ride it because it's one of the best trails in Ohio. Great trail in Ohio are rare. With long distances between each. So to have this trail so close works out great for me. The great Guys who built this trail need to thanked much for they're hard work. This trail has some former hiking trails that where off limits to MTBikers. But that not saying this is a hiking trail. Most of this trail was made with Mtbiking in mind. My favorite is the Roller Coaster. It has a quick grunt climb to a switch back into a group down a ups that you can't help having giant smile on your face. If you live anywhere near this trail, get out and do it.
