Doug's Drop

This starts out as a toepath but you need to explore a bit to find some really fun stuff. Some great downhill's (short but sweet), mild climbs, and fun technical stuff. Caution on the ledges...right Doug? If you live close, I give this a 5. If you have to drive more than an hour to get here, you may think it's a 3.

Summary:
Actually, this is a nice hidden gem in Northern Ohio. Has become a home course for me since I'm 15 minutes away.

It has some nice little runs that can get technical at times. Some downhills are absolute death wishes that go to nowhere.

The biggest problem I found with here is the trails don't tie together and you find yourself riding a trail for about 5 minutes then you're back to a gravel trail and pedaling to the next little chute. If they somehow found a way to tie it all together into a 30-45 minute loop it could be a very very entertaining track that would guarantee you a good workout.

Overall for those on the Westside of Cleveland this is the place to go unless you want to ride to Vulture's or Mohican. Great for beginners to intermediates.

Vulture's , Mohican Wilderness

Summary:
I've got a nice sequence that I like to ride that takes about a 40 minutes to an hour to complete, depending on your condintioning. Not sure of the distance, but i'd say about 3-4 mile loop. There are also a lot of short down hills that you can play on. The bad part is that many of them don't really go anywhere so you end up hiking back up. This is a fun place to ride with mostly beginner to intermediate terrain. Plenty or rolling single track and a few logs and short but steep climbs. A lot of fun if you're looking for a change of pace. Also, excellent for conditioning rides. I used to go several times a week after work during the summer. Far and away the best ride within 30 minutes of Cleveland.

Recommended Route:
a lot of hiking trails with single track cutting through all over the place.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Doug's Drop named after the 20' screamer I took during one of my summer "conditioning rides". Not named, but if you run into a rider on a yellow GT i'd be happy to show it to you.

Summary:
WOW! This was a lot of fun. Saw some signs saying to not ride but, nobody was out here. Saw some dog walkers but, no authorities. We did explore and found that this was a really fun place. I would almost say it will be in my top 5 in northern Ohio. I live about 25 minutes from this place and it as worth it. In fact, I would drive an hour and still give it a high rating.

Recommended Route:
Same as above...perfect
