Bear Creek
4 reviews
 2.75 of 5

This is a little used trail close to Canton that offers challenging climbs and bomber downhills. There are trails located on both sides of Dueber making this an all day adventure if so desired. You can also start at Bolivar dam and take the trail there to connect with the Bear Creek trail system. Moto-Cross riders and equestrians also use this trail and don't have a problem sharing it. The trail can be extremely muddy in some areas after it rains.

Summary:
i went to Beer Creek as a first timer not expecting to much because of previous reviews. This place was awesome! there were only a few other dirtbikes and atv's in the entire place. The man that took our money and gave us the routs was very polite. The trails are split into atv suggested and dirtbike suggested although you are free to ride them all. There were some difficult areas that were rutted from the atv's, but it made it all the more fun! other rides were really friendly and everyone tried new stuff. there are a few jumps and a great hill climb. what was really great was that we never once saw any spandexA! good intermediate rider trails.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
crow canyon and Hillsville

Summary:
This trail is a waste of time. I went there this spring because I saw it on this sight. You have to pay $6 to some hillbilly to ride there. Its mostly double track which has undergone erosion. Most ot the double tracks have 6-8 inch ruts from the four wheelers riding there. Its almost impossible to ride the trails because of the ruts. I would rate the trail as hardest because you have to ride in between deep 4 wheeler ruts. When I talked to the hillbilly he said that only dirtbikes and 4 wheelers ride here now.

Recommended Route:
Go somewhere else.

Summary:
I used to ride these trails all the time with "head overend" better known as Jonah who previously reviewed them. It's a cool place to spend a day exploring and pedaling. I can't remember the exact route, but there is a section of jumps along the powerlines that are pretty sweet.
Overall, I'd classify this as a nice diversionary ride with Intermediate capability. It's mostly double track but there are some fast downhills and long uphills. I gave this 4 stars overall, more for it's overall fun factor than any particular trait.

Recommended Route:
The same as the first review. (77S to Fohl, East on Fohl to Dueber, Right on Dueber and trail is down on right)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Reagan Park, Vultures Knob, Mohican

Summary:
I used to ride these trails all the time when I lived in Ohio. There are many diversionary trails fromt he main one so you can mix it up each time but still end up in about the same place. Where plenty of mosquito repellent. Even though these trails dry out faster than most you'll still find several skeeter-breeding muddle puddles. These trails are good for the intermediate rider. Trails not maintained.

Recommended Route:
park on Dueber past the gravel road and head up the hill. Sorry, i can't remember the name of the gravel road.
