Summary:
My husband and I had previously walked parts of this trail, but biked it today for the first time. The mud was a problem, but I loved it! We plan to ride this trail often. One of the best parts was riding through the tall grass meadow...wish we had the camera. We may just be beginners, but i think this trail has the potential to be exciting each and every time we ride it! Give it a try!

Recommended Route:
Take Market Ave. north through Hartville. Park entrance located right beyond Congress Lake Country Club.

Summary:
I just bought my 1st MTB 3 days before going to this trail. I am in descent shape but have not been on a bicycle in more than 15 years. (background info) The trail was a lot of fun. If you blinked you would hit a tree. lots of twists, turns, up, downs, rocks, logs.... I will admitt, I stoped about 3X to catch my breath (for less that a minute). Eventhough it rained 2 days ago, the mud was so thick it looked like... it was bad. In some areas my pedals were sinking into the mud, about 150 feet of the trail was in this condition. The worst part being the open field about 1/3 of the way through the trail. The trail is too much for my 6 year old (and probably my wife) but it is close and I will return (durring a drought). From the time I started the trail, loaded the bike back up on the car and ate lunch it was less than an hour. Lost 1 star for the mud, more than 6' deep in some areas!

Recommended Route:
Check the Stark Parks website.

Not yet! Going to try Bear Creek today (if the rain holds out)!

Reviewed by: scwman , from Cleveland

Summary:
This is a fast, middle chain ring trail. Total distance is 3.7 miles for the loop. There are a few log piles to cross for obstacles. The best part about it is the flow through some tight turns. 3 flamers because it is too short.

Recommended Route:
The directions above are WRONG. Follow 619 East until it turns into 619 E/43 SOUTH. Continue maybe a 1/2 mile and turn left (North) at the light where 43 splits off to the right(South). This is where the first poster mistook this road for 43 north.

Summary:
The trail is alot of fun, i plan to bring my wife to try it out(she is a first timer) The first section flows along smoothly with a few tight turns and log hops. Then you get a nice ride through the edge of a field that leads back into a pine forest. After a few small climbs you get to cruise around some tight turns and over some more log hops. Then you cross a couple creekbeds, one has a bridge the other is a nice fast hill. There is one sweet log hop that is huge...butt the approach is well made so you clear it easily.. I plan to return many times....

Summary:
My name is Mark, and I'm a new mountain biker(this is the part where you say "Hello Mark"). I'm pretty new to the sport and this place gave me opportunity to cut my technical teeth so to speak. I found myself on the second time around doing the log hops and creek crossings that I walked on the first round.
One section of the new loop called for some tight maneuvering(Did I forget to mention that I was a wide body too? Solid muscle of course!). I'm certain that some of the hard core riders may find this a little less that a challenge, but it was a perfect place for me to gain some confidence and loose a little poundage. Thanks Mr. Olander and the rest who contributed to this trail.

Recommended Route:
Rt. 619 east to Congress Lake Rd. and turn left. Park entrance is about 1 mile on the right.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Have'nt done many other trails yet.
