Summary: Notice the date of my post...June 18, 2005. This is the most updated list for this trail in a very long time. Here are my opinions.
This trail is a very nice trail that in in the middle of an ever growing metropolis and it is in pretty good shape. The trail is single track with some nice creek crossings, some nice downhills sections with rock gardens spread throughout the entile trail and it is a fast ride. You are in the middle of a suburban city in Ohio, not the hills of North Carolina or the rocky terrain of Colorado. It is what it is and it is a very nice trail.
However, I do have some concerns. It seems as though some weekend hillbillies have had the Idea of adding new sections that branch off the mail trail and this has caused the trail system to be really confusing. The trail desperately needs some correct signage. I have ridden this a few time this past month and everytime it has turned me around. I would love to have someone who knows this trail like the back of their hand and members of OMBA or IMBA contact me and I will help with the signage issue. And it is a big issue.
Also, this trail could use some TLC. I think in just a few weekends, we could turn this trail into a hot spot for some fast technical riding by doing a little work to clean up some over growth and maybe add some new sections/technical areas. This would really make this trail HOT! I use to live in Indianapolis and I rode a trail called Town Run Trail, better known as 96th street. For those of you who know the trail I am speaking of, I feel Landen could be the next 96th street. Super fast single track with some technical stuff and some sweet switchbacks. Someone please contact me and I will help get this done. My ratings are all 3's and I think with some work they could be 4's with a 5 in technical. PLEASE HELP TURN THIS AROUND!!!!!!
Recommended Route: Even days start to the right.
Odd days start to the left.
Two trails in one!!!
Other recommended trails in the same area: Harbin Park, Ceasers Creek, East Fork, Tower Park

Summary: Ive been riding this trail for almost four years now. When I first started out, it was a beautiful trail. But ever since Cora or kenda or whoever had a race the weekend after a heavy thunderstorm, the trails havn't been the same. Bring a patch kit with you, as there are plenty of oppurtunities to use them. There are some fun fast spots, and considering it is in the middle of heavy developement, this place is quite a ride! But please respect the trail and dont ride it when its muddy.
Aerobic, if you go hard you can make it a 5. If you are out of shape, it might be a 4. If you want to take your kids on a fun ride, watch out that I dont run them over!
Recommended Route: Look at the map and follow the arrows. ~try to stay off of the shortcuts~
Other recommended trails in the same area: Ceasars Creek, East fork, Harbin Park.

Ridden Trail: Every few months

Summary: If you're just looking for a fun little trail with plenty of potential for speed and low-budget thrills, this is a nice one. Sure, it's not gonna show up on the World Cup circuit, but it's a beautiful, rolling location that packs a lot of fun into a small space. If you're looking for additional challenge, ride these trails in the winter, when the trails are covered with leaves and wet. This past January, I was the first guy on the trail, it was still misty and foggy, and it was just a blast. All of the downhills ended in sharp turns submerged beneath frozen puddles that hadn't been cracked yet. Bottom line, this is a good place to go to just wind it out, go fast, have fun, get your bike a little muddy, etc. without a serious investment of time and flesh. HINT: The short uphill at the end is deceptively steep and slick, and you can't really prepare for it coming out of a blind right-hand turn. Just remember it's there and hold all the speed you can coming out of the turn. (You'll still wash out, but, hey, you tried. Right? hahahahaha)
Recommended Route: Just park, look for the trailhead and follow the arrows.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Tower Park
