COBRA BMX

Exactly as the name says, its a BMX track. You aren't going to get a 10 mile ride out of this, but if you want to test your skills on 10 feet high jumps and 20 feet gap doubles, this is the place to do it. The small park is owned by the city so anyone can use the facilty. It is surrounded by a chain-link fence, but you are allowed to ride. There is an opening on the southside of the track. They hold races on the weekends - there is a class for 24"/26" bikes called "Cruiser" - sign-up today. Please don't ride if its muddy.

Summary:
bad ass track

Recommended Route:
COBRA is passed short north on high street. It is behind the old K-Mart which is no longer there any more. Now it is behind a big gray building. Cobra is also right next to a trailer park. Cobra is now only opened on wed, fri, and sundays.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
There is a atv, motoX,and go-cart track behind cobra. You can ride back there to. If you like to ride street and do big drops and stair gaps, you can ride high street, there are alot of nice areas to ride at in the down town area.

Summary:
COBRA is maintained by the Central Ohio Bicycle Racing Association, a not for profit affiliate of the National Bicycle League. Check out its web site for details www.cobrabmx.org. Mountain bikes may race in the cruiser class but the rider must be an NBL member with a full face helmet, bike pads and long sleeve shirt/pants. You will have a great ride and gain respect for the talents/skills of mountian bikers' little cousins, BMXers!

Recommended Route:
Columbus, Ohio area. I-270 to the S. High St. exit. North 1-2 miles to Williams Road, turn left, park/track is on the left. Please do not ride when wet.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
For indoor mountian bike jumping/climbing fun, try The Flow indoor bike park on Brice Road (East side of Columbus). www.ridetheflow.com.

Summary:
This place is a good time. There are some big tabletops. I have a hard time clearing some of them on my full suspension. The trac is easy to find, and if you are ever in the area make sure to ride it no matter what kind of biking you are in to.

Recommended Route:
fast is the only way

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Urban in downtown Columbus . . . some real good sh@t!

Summary:
Forgot to mention that there are some trails behind the BMX track. They are mostly ridden by moto-cross bikes, but I have seen MTB back there. SO you can enjoy a session of jumping & berm riding with a trail ride to follow.

Recommended Route:
Fast over the jumps!
