Summary:
A litte hard to find and hard to find directions for. Take I-29 South from Fargo and take the Hankinson exit (this is getting pretty close to ND/SD border). Drive through Hankinson on 11. Just past Hankinson take a right on county 166 (it is just past a sign that welcomes people to Hankinson coming from the other direction). When it dead ends at a T take a left. When you get to where the road either turns or you have to cross a cattle guard, go over the cattle guard. Take the main road to the right and it will take you to the campground and past several spots where you can see the trail. Single track trail and there is suppose to be 8 miles worth. Did not notice any maps. Camping was $6 a night for a tent. There is water and pit toilets, but no trash service. There is an adjacent horse camp, separated by fence.

Recommended Route:
There are old/informal trails around, but the actual trail is well marked with sign posts. Look around as you are driving on the main road and you will see spots where it takes off. For Eastern North Dakota its one of the best trails around. Not real technical, but there are a few sandy spots and it has some up and down.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Sica Hollow in South Dakota and Sheyenne National Grasslands.
