Lake Sakakawea State Park

Much of the trails here are no more than a path mowed through the grasses of the prairie. There are some wooded draws that the trails pass through to give some relief from the sun. The Lewis & Clark Demonstration trail has been added along the North Country Trail route and this adds some real singletrack to the system. You can probably put together an 8 to 10 mile loop if you ride everything out there, but some of it will be backtracking yourself.

Summary:
Mostly a lawn mower trail. The 3/4 of a mile Demonstration trail is really nice. We need more trail like that to make it good for mtb.

Recommended Route:
See the park rangers, you can start right behind the rainger station.
