Cross Country Rider Summary: Found this trail on the internet while visiting family in Charlotte. Rode it three straight days and wish I had time for more. Nice flowing single track with logs, gravity dips and rock gardens. Nothing to crazy but perfect for me and my SS. Enjoyed every minute of it and can't wait to go back. Recommended Route: Clockwise as noted by the signage.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Great workout and only twenty minutes away from my house! Sherman Branch is very well maintained (last time I went, there were a lot of leaves, but strangely the trails had almost none on them... leaf blower perhaps???) and it has some fun optional obstacles and banked turns. Lots of fun. I recommend it. Go here. Now. Recommended Route: all of them Other recommended trails in the same area: Uwharrie Keyauwee Loop and USNWC

Cross Country Rider Summary: Outstanding trail for all levels of riders. The trail is an excellent cardio workout with a good variety of terrain. There are many banked turns and obsticles such as jumps, logs, and newer techical northshore style stunts. These can all be ridden or bypassed if you are more of a beginner.
There is a main loop, roller coaster loop and lake loop. All are well marked and transition together perfectly. The trail is well marked and has a nicely planned emergency route bailout for beginners.
The trail has outstanding flow with the numerous roller coaster sections. You can really turn up the speed here and go crazy if you are up for it.
There could be a 100 cars in the parking lot and with 10 miles of trails you never get into traffic. The trail is well kept and a real gem.
Charlotte is VERY luck to have such a trail!
Recommended Route: Trail head to roller coaster loop, main loop then finish on the lake loop. Other recommended trails in the same area: US National White Water Center
