These trails are located on the Lees-McRae College campus. More trail is being added as we speak as the college is hosting the '07/'08 Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships. The trail is mostly tight meandering singletrack with short climbs. There is also a mountain cross course that was built by professional gravity riders. To access the trails, park in the gym parking lot off of Hickory Nut Gap road and the trails begin by the lacross and softball fields. This was a pretty nice trail when I rode it in December. I haven't been back to see if they have added anything but it's worth a try considering it's rigth near downtown Banner Elk. It's not technical and hard to stay on one path because it crosses itself so many times but still a fun little ride.

Recommended Route:
Just start and hope your first trail choice doesn't lead right back to the beginning.
