Summary:
Some new sections were made since the last time I rode Owl's Roost. Absolutely amazing! Fast and flowy! If you like that kind of thing (who doesn't?) you will not be disappointed. Hands down the best trail anywhere around. The newest section is one way only, and it is fast, with a few opportunities to catch a little air. Many thanks to those who worked on this trail; you've done a terrific job!

Recommended Route:
Enter down by the lake, just off the paved trail. Ride until the old trail ended, then take the fire road until you reach the newest section; hang on…this is the best part of the whole trail. Berms, jumps, and flow!

Wild Turkey is great, too!

Summary:
This trail is a mix of both semi-technical parts and some fast, just-for-fun parts. This trail has a lot of roots so i would recommend a full sus. but i see a lot of people riding hard tails on it. There is also a lot of hills, both up and down, and a pump track here or there. if you haven't ridden it, i would definitely suggest you try it out. and a little more down the greenway there is a trail called wild turkey. if you get them both in during one day. yo will feel like you just made out with the hottest girl on the world. its that much fun

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Another trail thats under a mile down the path is wild turkey. i ride that at least once a week. the funnest trail thats within a 25 minute drive from my house.

Summary:
Trail was great at the beginning and end. Well maintained there. Lots of fast, fun sections. The middle is suffering from EROSION? Tons of well-exposed roots. Roots are okay, unless there's so many, you can't recover from the last batch. Not the greatest terrain to ride on. Needs attention. Great views of lake though. Prefer Wild Turkey - flows much better IMHO.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Wild Turkey.

Summary:
What a blast ! Visiting Greensboro and loving the trails out here.
Rode Owls Roost and found it to be rooty, rough in spots and twisted like a pretzel!
My hats off to the Greensboro fat tire society for putting down some excellent singletrack.
worth the drive from Delaware and if any of you guys are thinking of coming east ,lets ride!!

Recommended Route:
I started out in Bur-Mil park and rode Big loop then picked up owls roost then down the greenway to wild turkey which took me to lake brandt marina took left and went down road about 1/2 mile to reedy fork trail on right .
Another great trail I might add, this took me over to The Blue heron trail andthen I rode back the same route.
This is just over 34 miles and well worth it!!!!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Anything that these guys have built and any of the Greensboro watershed trails.
Once again great job Greensboro Fat tire Society!
