Very scenic, flat, & rocky rails to trails ride along Laurel River to its junction with French Broad river. Nice primitive campsites where rivers connect.

Trail Directions
From Asheville, NC & Marshall, NC, take US Hwy 25 NORTH to junction with route 208. From Newport, TN & Hot Springs, NC take US Hwy 25 SOUTH to junction with route 208. Trailhead is immediaely south of junction on west side of US 25 with gravel parking area.

This trail has a bunch of trees that have fallen across it recently and is not practicable on 2 wheels. Pity cause the scenery and location is awesome.
This is as of may 27 2014 so hopefully it will get cleared up soon.
