Weekend Warrior Summary: Just moved to the area from Monterey California....I thought I was going to be disappointed in the trails here in NC. Boy was I wrong! This was an awesome trail with plenty of challenging sections. On a 10 point scale of fun I would give this trail an 9.5. On a 10 point scale for difficulty...I would go with a 7. Other recommended trails in the same area: I rode the San Lee Park trail today....I think the Governors Creek trail is a bit easier. I will be making the trip to Sanford many more times during my assignment to Fort Bragg!

Cross Country Rider Summary: Total of 6.2 miles, mostly level, some creek crossings, some bumps, rocks, roots, a lot of fun. This trail has a fun bumpy hilly inner loop that may be a little intimidating for the beginner, and a more level outer loop which has enough of a challenge that the beginner can improve their technical abilities. Not too strenuous, can be done under an hour by most riders. Recommended Route: Most riders ride clockwise, beginning with the inner loop which can be bypassed by the beginner. There is an expert loop at the back of the outer loop which has a rock garden, 2 creek crossings and a short steep descent, otherwise ridable by pretty much anyone. Other recommended trails in the same area: San Lee, more technical, more ups and downs.
