GARNER TRAIL

Average Rating:    (2.55 of 5)

TIGHT, FLAT SINGLETRACK. THIS A TRAIL NOT A LOOP. WHEN YOU GET TO THE END YOU MUST TURN AROUND TO EXIT. AT ABOUT THE TWO MILE MARK YOU MUST CROSS A ROAD. CROSS THE ROAD TO THE RIGHT AND LOOK FOR A GATE, JUST BEHIND THE GATE YOU'LL SEE THE TRAIL ENTRANCE IN THE PINES.

Summary:
Very short. It is well maintained but has heavy traffic. However, the trail has some great jumps, dips, short climbs, and creek crossings. I saw something that said that you needed a freeride bike to ride it, but that is definately not true. Although there are a bunch of bumps and roots, there is nothing that a XC bike cannot handle. For the XC riders, the creeks, sharp turns, short climbs and decents prevent you from ever really getting your momentum going, so you can get a good workout by riding it a couple of times.

Recommended Route:
Just figure out how long you want to ride for, and then ride until it is time to stop. You are never more than 5 minutes away from the trailhead.

Summary:
This a pretty cool trail and I only scratched the surface of exploring all the off shoots of the trail. The route I took today followed a sewer right of way beside a creek. Got to cross the creek in several places which was cool. If you are adventureous this could be the trail for you. I will definitely be going back for more exploration.

Recommended Route:
Enter trail through clearing behind Timber school.

Summary:
Not much to this trail anymore. It was not in good shape last time I rode it. I saw where someone has been riding horses on the trail. It is really not worth the effort to ride anymore. I ride by it most every day and don't turn in, but just keep riding on the sidewalk.
