Singletrack. Many obstacles, like ricks and narrow wooden bridges. Takes about 15 minutes to complete. Pretty challenging

Summary:
Awesome trail. Mix of technical stuff and fast and flowing. You have the option to avoid the more technical stuff if you want. The trail has a little bit of climbing but nothing too bad. Overall a great time. I will definitely be back.

Summary:
Like the last guy said, it's fast and fun. the expert loop is technical, parts of it is kinda scary technical. theres some skinnys that i had to stop and look at, and then take a plunge. All in all the trail is fun. I highly recomend it. In the summer i think a good hard pack tire would be awsome there. I highly recomened this trail. alot of dog walkers there too. so watch where you ride lol.

Plus your riding on a trail that pro mountain bikers have ridden.

Oh and thanks to the guys at cycle path bicycle shop for giving me directions if it wasn't for them i wouldn't never have found it.

You got to turn left at the light at davidson university on concord rd. there is no street sign there. just turn left at the first light you come to after davidson university. If you miss it just drive alittle ways and you see cycle path bicycle shop on the left stop in there and they will give you directions.

Recommended Route:
All the routes are fun and fast.

Lake norman state park. Lake norman trail is just like fisher farm trail, but bigger.

Summary:
Fun, fast, rolling trail in a beautiful setting. With new loop (Spring '07), the trail is about 3.6 miles. It's not very challenging (I don't know about the expert loop), but it's a great ride. A lot of short trails get pretty boring if you're putting in multiple laps, but I love this one.

Check it out.

Summary:
Trail has been expanded. It is generally rideable a day or two after rains. The singletrak is tight and well designed. Not very technical. There is a toilet at the T/H but no water available. The park has a large grassy hiking area and a small parking lot. It can be crowded in fair weather. www.tarheeltrailblazers.com has done an excellent job of laying out this new area.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Lake Norman SP, Uharrie NF, Poplar Tent,NorthMeck park

Summary:
This trail has a lot to offer for all skill levels, granted it would be considered tame for some extremely advanced riders, however they are adding a section to this trail that is going to take it up a notch. Mark Sullivan, the owner of Cycle Path in Cornelius, NC and Tarheel Trailblazers member, is the trail coordinator for this trail and he has indicated to me that they are working on a new section of this trail that will be awesome. Rumor has it there will be 6' drops, culverts to ride in, nice large log rolls, and big rocks to work with as well.

If you want to know more about the new section of this trail go by and see Mark at his shop. From a personal stand point on this trail, my wife and I love this trail for many reasons. First thing is it is only 10 mins from our house in Cornelius, second thing is that this trail offers so many variables. This trail offers all kinds of things from nice fast downhill sections, to decent log rolls, some cool drops and exposed roots, to a small rock garden area. For a beginner, which is the perfect label for my wife and I, this trail allows you to come out and be exposed to some scaled down obstacles that you can work your way through and get comfortable to on to prepare you for more technical trails.

In conclusion, my opinion is that this is a great all around trail, which now has 4 miles and they are working on more (Advanced) mileage currently, that you can always ride and have fun. Be safe - wear a helmet!!
