Summary:
I have made this a regular early morning ride since moving here. Its not crowded, flows well, and is completely cleared of brush as of right now. I ride a rigid singlespeed, and it is perfect for the trails here. You can hit great speed here as long as you follow the direction rules. Highly recommended, as you can get 15 miles in and still get to work in Asheville.

Recommended Route:
To get there, stay on 251, go past the post office, past the bridge that crosses the French Broad, and the trailhead will be on the right with a nice gravel parking area and sign kiosk.

Summary:
This little trail system is awesome. I've only ridden it once at this point, but I definitely plan on going back. It’s too short and too out of the way to make into a real regular thing, but I’m sure I’ll get out there at least once a month or so. Both xc trails are in great condition and not overgrown at all. I didn’t even see a ds course, so maybe that’s gone or overgrown. The xc trails though are super fast and flowy with short technical pieces. They’re also one way for the most part and very well marked, so you can ride as fast as you please without worrying about somebody else coming around the turn. A couple places are way more technical than anything you can find in Bent Creek and way skinnier than 90% of Bent Creek, which I love. True singletrack to boot. Maybe some consider this overgrown. The landfill right over the hill is sort of a bummer, but I’m glad we’re using the land for something sweet, instead of just letting it sit there. Plus, the forest you ride through is incredibly pretty. Bottom line is this place is moderately far away, but a great place to sprint around sweet fast flowy singletrack and escape the crowds at Bent Creek. For a mountain bike “ghetto” it’s sure fun.

Recommended Route:
Everything there. Its small enough.

Summary:
A couple things about this page and the trail. #1, to get there, just stay on Riverside Road/251 out of Asheville. The parking lot is right past Lower Flat Creek road, there is no need to ever turn off of 251. #2, when we went yesterday (9/12/07) the trail was sickly overgrown and almost unrecognizable in places. We will definitely not be going back. It almost takes about 25 min from UNCA, so Bent Creek is just as far. Have fun if you do go and be prepared to get scrapes all over from briers!

Summary:
ive had a chance to ride out here when it was in pretty decent shape but it was back when i was just getting into ridding. unfortunatly this place has gone down the tubes or atleast the dual slolam course has. there have been mild rumors of building stunts out here but i have heard nothing but rumors. it has the potential but nobody has the man power or the equipment to make it a reality. stay away from here. that is all that i can say about this place.
