!XTERRA Uwharrie (URE)
2 reviews
 2.5 of 5

The first ever XTERRA Uwharrie was held in spring 2007. We are now blessed with a wonderfull EPIC single track trail amongst the 40 miles of multiuse trails in the Uwharrie National Forest Badin Lake Trail system.

The XTERRA trail is not for the faint at heart - there are steep climbes (all of which can be climbed but are quite difficult). It's technical and its a blast - Come check it out for your self!

Summary:
The trail is cut out of the wilderness. It is rugged and Challenging with good climbs. Great for XTERRA an extrme sport.

Recommended Route:
Need good directions before you ride

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Woodrun Trails off Rt. 24/27 are great mountian biking trils. I think about 16 miles. These are in the process of being upgraded to IMBA standards and expanded late this year.

Ridden Trail:
Ridden Once

Summary:
I am an avid mountain biker that will try just about anything once. I have riden numerous trails throughout the world and have always found something good in every trail. This trail was poorly designed! The beginning of the trail is straight up. It's called "push a bike". Once you got to the top it was very rocky with numerous roots and jagged rocks. It sucks to put it nicely! The trails were poorly marked and many of the trails looked like they hadn't seen riders in years. I wouldn't recommend this trail to my worst enemy. In closing don't waist your time!

Recommended Route:
Find another place to ride.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Take the time and go to a great trail like Lake Norman, Sherman Branch, or the White Water Rafting Park.
