Cross Country Rider Summary: This trail is smooth, relatively flat, open, and very well maintained. The Tarheel Trailblazers are doing a fantastic job here. Technically, the trail is relatively easy, lacking any serious climbs, and having just a smattering of technical features (a few rock gardens, creek crossing, a few technical root gardens), so overall its a great trail to get started mountain biking or to introduce new riders. Once you pick up the pace, the trail gets a lot more fun, with berms in some turns than turn the trail into a 10+ mile race course. Very well groomed and smooth trail surface, but gets really slick in the rain (don't ride when its wet per the Trailblazers). The Main loop criss-crosses a long fireroad, which makes for easy emergency trail evacs if necessary Recommended Route: I ride the Roller Coaster Loop, The Main Loop, and the Lake Loop. Other recommended trails in the same area: Renaissance Park- Shorts and more technical
Col. Frances Beatty- again, shorter, and much rootier

Weekend Warrior Summary: The trail is fast, fast, tricky and not that many climbs. the trail is just fun, it's a cross between catawaba river front and pee-wees. it's well worth checking out. on this trail you can turn your mind off and just flow....defintly worth checking it out....single speed rules that place, single speeds are very fast there. Recommended Route: on the lake loop, right after you see the lake for the first time on ur right. you will come to an unmarked fork in the trail. take the left. Other recommended trails in the same area: Beech Springs

Cross Country Rider Summary: Lots of super fun fast rolling single track. The faster you go the more fun this trail becomes! Just make sure you brake soon enough to make some of the hair pin turns ;) Lots of squirrels as obstacles...lol if you've ridden this trail you know what I'm talking about!
This has quickly become one of my favorite places to ride.
Recommended Route: Follow the signs Other recommended trails in the same area: The U.S National Whitewater Center, Lake Norman State Park, Uwharrie and Ann Springs.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Rolling singletrack with lots of fun dips and turns, plus one sketchy rock garden. Main trail has some really fast sections, roller coaster loop lives up to its name, and the lake loop is scenic, but not as fast. Ride ends with a nice climb. Best trail I've ridden in Charlotte, though I haven't ridden the Itusi/Monbo trail yet.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Whitewater center
Beatty

Weekend Warrior Summary: Great single track with a buch of man made and natural obsticals to enjoy. Constant pedaling required. All hand built trail. Many surprises and more are being added all the time. You can do just the main loop for 6.5m or stretch it out for over 10.6 miles with the new optional trails.
No night riding and give it at least 24 hours after a rain. Recommended Route: Start and the Parking lot/ trail head and follow the signs. After a clock wise lap try it backwards! A whole different trail. Other recommended trails in the same area: Poplar tent, N. Mecklenburg park, Fisher Farm, LNSP...go to www.tarheeltrailblazers.com for information on all the Charlotte, NC trail systems
