A seasonal trail so you can only ride between Nov. and March. A good climb to the top and some steep fast downhill with jumps and switchbacks. The downhill on Cat Gap gets rocky and rooty.

Summary:
Great warm-up climb from the hatchery and then great flowing downhill with some great tech mixed in from roots to waterbars to root drops make for an awesome ride. This is truly a hidden gem. great views of johns rock as well as an old pre civil war cemetery to check out as well. Again this is a hidden gem, less travelled due to seaonal status. You can couple this ride with caney bottom to make it a longer ride if you wish.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
sycamore loop, black mountain

Summary:
A long uphill but a great downhill. Really fast with jumps and some rocks. Watch for the switchbacks cause some of them are easy to miss. The second half of the downhill on Cat Gap has lots of roots and some drops. All in all a great ride.

Recommended Route:
Fast
