Garner Rec Park Trails
4 reviews

There are three loops. Loop 1, behind the dumpster goes left across a walking trail along side of a creek and loops back to the dumpster.
Loop 2, starts across the bridge to the right, circles back across the walking trail through a gully, and intersects with another section. Take a left which will lead to a big gully and down across the bridge at the creek. Just above the creek you will either go right or left which loops back to the creek.
Loop 3, just before you get back to the creek you will see a trail leading off to the right. Take this trail down by the creek until you see a trail going of to the right. This will loop around to the tennis courts and back to the creek where you can start over.

Summary:
Nice first time effort by the trail builders. Nice XC ride with a few little play spots scattered about. Hopefully all the non-sence about "stunts" and what not will be rectified soon. New stuff addded often. A lot of riders use Garner Rec as a warm-up and then scoot over to Legend Park for a finish. (seems to work for a lot of riders who don't get east of Ral. very often)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Legend Park(Clayton) 10-15 min. away

Summary:
Great little trail. Perfect for after work or by your self. As of present, has a great drop that will sling you into the trail. Logs, dirt pile jumps.
Its a great starter trail for the city of Garner!!!!

Another quick way to the trial is to go EAST on I40, exit at the Jones Sausage exit, exit number 30something, at the exit make a right and it takes you about 2 mile to a 3-way stoplight, make another right. Then look for the Garner Rec. sign on your right-hand side (this way lets you avoid any traffic on HWY 70 if you are coming in on I40)

Recommended Route:
I start off in at the step entrance from the parking next to the baseball field.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Keep your eye on Garner for more trails, it what I heard. Great news!

Regency Park is good also.

Summary:
I might as well make the first review since I am one of the main trailbuilders. It's a great trail, come out and ride it. We will be making changes here and there to make it faster and better.

Recommended Route:
Start across the bridge so you can ride the big whoop.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Clayton Legend Park
