Weekend Warrior Summary: Tanglewood is an excellent trail to just ride and have fun on,not very technical and no long climbs. It is very well maintained and has beautiful wooded scenery. Most of the trails are tight single track with a gradual up and down flow with a few short semi-steep inclines thrown in here and there. There are a few wooden bridges,a couple of log pyramids, several small log crossings with most having bypass routes. There are 3 sections of trails at Tanglewood totaling about 8 miles. The best way to access all 3 is to come in the main park gate off hwy 158,then take your 1st left turn and then an immediate rt turn into the visitor center parking lot.It is ok to park there. This gives you a central location to all 3 sections.1 section is across the road from the parking lot, another is across the main park road that you just drove in on and the longest and best section is entered from the back of the parking lot. This longest section is a loop that by my measurement is about 4.4 miles. It can be ridden in either direction with the counter clockwise direction being the most difficult. You can also park at the small gravel lot beside the river bridge or at the soccer field lot. This is a good place to bring beginners and a good place for someone who has had a riding layoff to get back in riding shape.Mostly for beginners to intermediate. You probably would not want to ride 2 or 3 hours to get here but if you are in the area try it out. Recommended Route: Park at the visitor center parking lot and ride the 4.4 mile loop, ride it counter clockwise for the most challenge and best workout. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hobby Park or Horizons Park

Weekend Warrior Summary: Nice singletrack, well groomed and maintained. There is one main trail loop with other horse trails coming off. good logs, jumps and at least three log runs... Nice up and downs. good for a moderate biker. it can get slick after a rain, but theres a shocker... what trail doesnt... Recommended Route: Park by the visitor center or by the soccer field to avoid paying the $2 gate fee. recommend counter-clockwise. Other recommended trails in the same area: Salem lake - fire roads, minimal elevation change - good fast aerobic workout
Hobby Park - it can kick you off the bike....

Weekend Warrior Summary: One of my favorite trails. Generally not very technical. There ARE some big obstacles and stunts but most of them can easily be ridden around. If the trail isn't hard enough for you then just ride faster. Can get muddy, but mostly stays in good shape considering how much traffic it gets. This is probably the most ridden trail in the area, along with Hobby Park. There are actully 3-5 sections depending on who you talk to and how you count them. Riding the entire trail network approx 8 miles.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Love this trail! All three sections build you up to the best at last. This is a good trail for all. Not as hard as Hobby, but good enough to enjoy. Other recommended trails in the same area: Hobby, Salem Lake, Horizons Park

Weekend Warrior Summary: Shaded Intermediate Singletrack. Great all around ride. Good ups and downs. various logs and other obsticles. Theres a group who work this trail and add more obsticles all the time. One main loop trail of about 7-8 miles. Can get muddy. Recommended Route: Take a left before the gate house and park at the soccer field to avoid the gate fee. Trail head is next to a field house before the soccer field. Either direction to start is fine. There are obsticles facing both directions. I generally start by heading right and have a blast... Other recommended trails in the same area: Hobby Park (Much more technical)
Salem Lake (sunday ride with the wife)
