Cross Country Rider Summary: Hats off to Al and the city of Hickory for the work they've done on these trails! Expect five miles of big fun with some great little technical (but not too so) sections and some lungbustin' climbs to boot. You will be winded and you will be back... Recommended Route: Follow the yellow arrows and orange markings on the trees. Other recommended trails in the same area: Pisgah.

Weekend Warrior Summary: THE TRAIL WITH THE NEW SECTIONS ADDED IS 5 MILES LONG, WITH SOME TECHNICAL AND CLIMBING, VERY ROOTED. IT'S THE KIND OF TRAIL YOU HAVE TO FIND AND TAKE GOOD LINES AROUND. NOTHING HAS PUSHED MY HEART RATE LIKE THIS TRAIL. THE TRAIL IS ALSO MARKED VERY WELL AND IS EASY TO FOLLOW. THE FASTEST TIME SOO FAR IS 34 MINS. THREE GUYS BUILT THE WHOLE TRAIL AND HAS DID AMAZING JOB. HATS OFF TO THEM.
ALSO THERE IS A MEET EVERY TUESDAY EVENING AROUND 5:30 PM IN THE PARKING LOT AND EVERYBODY TAKES OFF ABOUT 5:40 PM AND JUST RIDE AND HAVE FUN. GO AS FAST AS YOU WANT AND AS SLOW AS YOU WANT, IT'S ALL ABOUT MEETING PEOPLE, MOUNTAIN BIKING AND HAVING FUN.
ANY QUESTIONS MY name is jason and my E-MAIL ADDRESS IS JCaldwell704@yahoo.com Recommended Route: JUST FOLLOW THE YELLOW ARROWS. Other recommended trails in the same area: PEE WEES AND RIVER FRONT IN CHARLOTTE OFF SAM WILSON ROAD

Weekend Warrior Summary: THE TRAIL IS AWSOME, TECHNICAL, CLIMBING, ROOTY, DOWNHILL AND THE PEOPLE THAT RIDE THE TRAIL ARE NICE AND FUN TO RIDE WITH. I HAVE NEVER WENT OUT THERE AND DIDN'T MEET ANYBODY, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE RIDING ON THE TRAIL.
ALSO, THE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS TRAIL IS IT CRISS CROSSES OVER PAVED WALKING ROAD. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS YOU CAN ALWAYS GET ON THE PAVED WALKING ROAD AND RIDE OR PUSH BACK TO UR CAR. NOMATTER WHERE UR AT IN THE TRAIL, THE PAVED WALKING PATH IS SOMEWHERE INSIGHT OR NEAR.
IT'S MORE TECHNICAL AND I FEEL HARDER THAN PEE-WEES, BUT PEE-WEES IS TRAILS ARE BETTER MARKED.
OH IF UR EVER IN THE AREA, STOP BY CLARKS BICYCLE SHOP. ONE OF THE BEST BICYCLE SHOPS I HAVE EVER WENT TO. Recommended Route: TO START THE TRAIL, YOU WILL HAVE TO RIDE DOWN THE PAVED WALKING ROAD, AND YOU WILL SEE YELLOW ARROWS ON THE PAVMENT, JUST FOLLOW DOES ARROWS TO THE TRAILS. PLUS THE TRAIL CRISS CROSSES OVER THE PAVED WALKING ROAD, SO YOU CAN DO DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF THE TRAIL WITHOUT HAVING TO RIDE THE WHOLE THING. COOL IF UR PRESSED FOR TIME. Other recommended trails in the same area: PEE-WEES IN LINCOLTON

Cross Country Rider Summary: OH YEAH ..I didnt know if this trail was still here but I made the long ride from my house anyway and its still there.I just moved here from florida and ive been looking on the internet to try and find a good place to ride.I went to pee wees and wasnt too impressed so I took a shot on this place (the last review was from last year)and this place is pretty cool it is just like the trails I grew up on in florida. Its only a ten minute drive from my house so Ill be out there alot. The trail is very xc oriented there are some stunts and drops but mostly xc stuff the stunts are pretty well maintained and I would like to help keep the trail groomed but there are no signs or info so go there if you like twisty up and down xc and harder lots of fun. Recommended Route: the directions above are pretty good just go in between the army reserve station and the vfw...park and go left there is a trail head there in the woods Other recommended trails in the same area: still looking. with all the reviews in this area from more than a year ago im not sure where to look
